Thundering Hooves Producer Alliance Bringing you safe, quality meats!

To help meet the growing demand for meats raised with naturally sustainable methods, we have formed a partnership with like-minded family farmers as livestock producers; Thundering Hooves Producer Alliance.

These farmer-producers -- most we have known for many years -- have agreed to adhere to our production requirements, including that their animals have been fed 100% natural diets of grasses and legumes, have not been given hormones or antibiotics and have been raised in healthy environments. In fact, all Thundering Hooves producers have signed an affidavit, which states their adherence to Thundering Hooves production protocols.

By signing this affidavit, producers declare that the livestock, purchased by Thundering Hooves, throughout their lives from birth to the date of purchase:

• Have never been raised in a feedlot or similar environment (does not apply to mono-gastric pigs)
• Have never been fed sub-therapeutic doses of antibiotics
• Have never been administered hormones or other growth enhancers
• Have never had access to protein supplements that contain animal by-products
• Have never been fed grain or grain by-products (does not apply to mono-gastric pigs)
• Have been raised and handled humanely
• Are in general good health and free from any apparent injury or disease as determined through visual appraisal
• Were born on their farm or on a farm under their management and control

And the final point stated is that the owner / seller has direct knowledge of the facts stated in the affidavit.

The quality and food safety of Thundering Hooves products will only improve as we continue to raise the bar on all levels of animal production, meat processing and food safety.
