This turkey poult has worked for many hours to break out of a very hard egg shell. It will stay in the hatcher for several hours to dry off and rest from the exertion of hatching.

Three weeks later, the young poults exercise their wings and find perches as high as 4 feet up. After all, the view is better up here! |

When the turkeys are old enough, they are moved out onto their new pasture home. Clairce and son, Isaac, are helping with the move. |
| Once out on pasture, the turkeys continue to receive vegetarian poultry feed, yet they prefer to forage on their own. They remain very social and willing to come and say hello to anyone who walks by. |
