Talking about an organic, living soil with a distinct scent that gives a sweet flavor of the pasture can almost make you hungry. Our visitors were invited to sample the sweetness of the grass and alfalfa... a taste of what the cows are getting!

Here, the group takes their first look at cattle well suited for our 100% Pasture Finished production model. Joel explains that the compact body type of these "old-style" Herefords takes less time to finish well on pasture alone. "These girls can make a living for themselves," says Joel.

Some people meet around the water cooler at work... At the Thundering Hooves Ranch, a much needed water break was taken at the garden hose. The tour then caught up with Joel at the abattoir. (The what...?!)

Construction is ongoing as we build an infrastructure to support the needs of producing our meats. This semi-trailer, what we will call our Pasture Harvested Abattoir, will soon be our USDA inspected mobile slaughter unit.
This facility will be used to harvest animals as close to their natural surroundings as possible. Then, the carcases will be brought to our aging cooler and soon-to-be USDA meat shop in town for final processing.
